Biographical Text
Linda Howard is an artist and sculptor known for her large works. She attended the University of Denver and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1957. In 1971 she received her masters from Hunter College in New York. Howard typically uses aluminum to create her large outdoor pieces. In 1978 Howard was commissioned by the Public Art Fund to make a sculpture for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. She sculpted a 1000 pound piece which was shown in City Hall Park before being sent to Lake Placid for the Olympics. she was the first woman to ever have her work on display at City Park Hall.
